Bambi Meets Godzilla. Yes, Really.

When you think of classic animation, what comes to mind first? Probably, iconic movies such as The Lion King or Toy Story, right? But what about another animation classic, Bambi Meets Godzilla. Wait, what?In 1969, Marv Newland made this student film, while experimenting with animation. The plot is very simple: Bambi (yes, the deer) is just chilling, when suddenly he gets stepped by Godzilla. That's it. The 90-second long clip is absurd, hilarious, but also innovative for its time. It has even been considered as worthy of preservation by the Academy Foundation (those people who hand out the Oscars), and received a couple of sequels too. Early animation was crazy.Marv Newland went on to make a lot more animated films and series (including some in the Netherlands), but we know what you really want to watch. Well, no need to wait.
