I have a question. No, you have many questions!!!

CHECK-IN

  • Check-in is at 15:00 (that´s 3 pm for you Americans).

    If we have a room earlier, obviously we give it to you, but don’t go all Karen if it’s not ready earlier, eventhough you sent us a message 6 weeks earlier asking for it to be ready earlier.

    You can leave your luggage with us no problem until check-in time.

  • Our hosts are there 25 hours per day, 8 days per week, 366 days per year. You’re/you’re welcome… any time!

  • We have a luggage storage with honest goblins protecting it. On 3 separate occasions have they sold our guests stuff, so the odds are in your favour.

CHECK-OUT

  • Normally, it is at 11:30am… Buuuuuuuuuut, if you book directly through our website, you will receive a late check-out at 13:00 (That’s 1pm for you Americans) FOR MOTHERTRUKN FREE!!!

  • We have a luggage storage with honest goblins protecting it. On 3 separate occasions have they sold our guests stuff, so the odds are in your favour. (I got lazy and just copied and pasted this answer from the Check-In section… you cool with that or you want to complain?)

BOOKINGS

  • The best rate guaranteed, a discount on your breakfast and the Game Room, free late checkout (13:00) and a free welcome drink. What´s not to love???? And direct contact with the hotel when you want to make changes or add and not wait on hold for 2 hours with some call centre in India for a reservation you made in Italy for arriving in NL.

    Also, let me give you a bit of perspective. When you book our hotel on “other sites”, you don’t see a difference, but we do. We gots to pay them for you literally filling out your name on their website. If you're reading this, then you already know us and are on our website. Which means, you literally have to just enter your information here instead of there…. Literally!!!

  • Did you book with someone else? Then f*ck off and ask them. Have fun waiting on hold for 2 hours. Without kidding: Only if the reservation is made on the official hotel website we can help with adjustment, otherwise you need to go to the people where you booked and confirmed. We cannot help unfortunately

    Did you book with us? Send an email to info@info@arcadehotel.nl with your confirmation number in the subject heading and we will do our best to adjust. No promises, but we will try our darnedest to help. See the difference between booking with us or “them”?

    Did you book with us? Did you book a Non-Refundable or a Flexible room type? The former is pretty self explanatory. The latter has a cancellation period as mentioned at the moment of booking. Either way, if you aren’t sure, send an email to info@arcadehotel.nl with your confirmation number in the subject heading. See the difference between booking with us or “them”?

  • Jesus Christ, take it easy. We love that you want to to stay with us so badly and trust us, we can´t wait to have you. But there´s no need to book so early! We publish our most updated rates around 10 months in advance.

  • Prob can’t vote, buy ciggies, drink but sure as sh*t can go fight in the American military… no judgment, just saying.
    Oh you meant staying with us under the age of 18… Ahhhhhh! Well, children under 16 have to be accompanied by an adult. Under 18, we would like to have an email/chat with your parents to make sure you didn’t steal their credit card, and you and your partner are sneaking off to get eloped in the hotel and then your parents find out and then we have to deal with it which we have enough on our plate… Mazel Tov nonetheless but let’s work together on this.

  • Why not? We love watching parents sit with their kids and showing them the original Super Mario Bros that mom/dad used to play 38 years ago. We find it adorable. Take pics of this and tag us please #thearcadehotel

  • Check the booking engine for the possible payments. Flexible reservation have different possibilities than non refundable

  • The year is 2025. People with any sense haven’t used cash in well over 2 years. We do accept it all, but cash… really? Cash? Fine, but really????

  • SUZY AND JOHN ARE GETTING MARRIED AND WE WANT TO DO A DO/HEN/STAG/BACHELOR/ETTE PARTY… Can we come?

    A: This sh*t again? Look, we get it, you have this thing and we are there coolest hotel in Amsterdam, but we have guests who aren’t wearing a hat with dicks all over it, and aren’t up to staying awake until 6 in the morning listening to Gabber Gabber music. So the polite answer is not really.

    We built this place for people to #beexcellenttoeachother and to be cool, chill, and respectful, and its not to say you aren’t, but with a bottle of Jäger in you, we don’t really feel like taking a chance for a Jekyll and Hyde moment.

GAMING

  • We have it and it’s a surprise meaning it’s like a box of chocolates... We have a mix of retro and modern gaming in the room with a gigantic library of games at reception. You "check-out" 2 games at a time, exchange as much as you want an voila. You can always let us know what you prefer before your arrival date and we will do our best to accommodate you… read fine print “Will do our best”, so don’t go all Karen on us if you don’t get what you want. Claro ese?

  • Coin-Op arcade, PC game room, Modern/Retro corners, offline gaming in the garden… click here TO PLAY to be transported to our Play page for all info.

  • Come right the f*ck in. We are open to the public from 11am-11pm. We also offer late night LAN in our PC room but you need to book the whole PC room for that. Check out the Play page for more details.

  • We could have chosen to charge a Euro per game…. We chose to charge a small fee for you entire stay. So you finally finish a coin-op game without taking a 2nd mortgage on your house.

  • To be honest, it would be easier to list what we do not have available. At some point a looong time ago we stopped counting. The most accurate answer to this question would be: everything. We have everything.

  • Feel free to bring your own controller but skip your console. There’s no need, we pinky promise. (Seriously, don’t bring that sh*t here bc you cannot set it up).

  • The quick answer is “F*ck Yes”. Longer answer is email info@arcadehotel.nl with all relevant details and someone will get back to you.

  • Not ghetto and has become the 2nd centre of Amsterdam. Shopping, dining, nightlife, is the shizzle in this area. Your best friend in this question is our hosts which can recommend whatever it is you want. Google is your next best friend.

  • We have a comic library. Don’t be a D*ck and steal so we trust you to borrow and care for what you borrow and return.

FOOD & DRINKS

  • We do, and it’s super simple. Discounted when you book direct and or book in advance. We do a Breakfast-To-Go between 7am-11am, eat where you want… room or lobby or balcony. Croissants, jams, fruits, snacks, baked goods, juice, water, and unlimited coffee and tea of your choice.

  • We do have snackies on the sugary and savoury side but no full meals.

    We have a million recommendations for eating out and we are surrounded by grocery stores.

  • Fully locked, stocked, and 2 smoking barrels ready to go. Open 24/7 for hotel guests only and as long as you behave…

  • Then maybe Darwin was right… is not the polite answer. According to Dutch law, we can provide you with an allergens list upon request to make sure you know what’s in what. If you are seriously worried, please send us an email to info@arcadehotel.nl with your reservation number in the subject and let us know your concerns and we will take this fully into account for your stay.

  • We will even lend you plates and cutlery because we are that nice, but please do not walk around the hotel clutching a bottle of Jack Daniels because that’s just not classy and their might be some kids who don’t need to look at your open robe bits and bobs. And hey, spending some in the bar will help us survive. We are probably one of the cheapest bars in Amsterdam… seriously, we made it like that for you.

HOTEL

  • Goto the footer of this page and click directions and you can choose arriving by car and have all info there. We pay by letter on this website so it’s easier if you just go there and look… WOW… you have to scroll and click… ughhhh… lazy a*s. But coming by car to Amsterdam…. I hope you won the lottery.   • What do you think genius? It’s 2025. 1gb of clean fibre... our LOL ping in the PC game room is much less than 30ms so you’re/your welcome.

  • Click on Stay you will be taken to our rooms page which, when a room is clicked, the very first line will show the sizes of each room type. They range from 9 sqm - 24sqm.

  • Hell ya, this ain’t a hostel. And we put colour changing lights which helps for shower parties.

  • Am I allowed to smoke… ciggies, and ummmm…. Other stuff… in the hotel?

    A: The year is 2025, and the answer is NO…ish. Indoors you cannot smoke sh*t. Ciggies can be smoked in our garden, or in front of the hotel, as well some of our family rooms have balconies which you can smoke on (No Merry Jane though). As for the wacky tabacky, we ask that you go in the front of the hotel, and the keep walking away. There is a super beautiful park in front of the hotel which you can do what you want, we don’t judge. Just be respectful of the people around you and do not do it next to the kids playground… DUH!

  • As much as I, (Dan who is writing this) would love nothing more than to play with your woofers (less, hissing felines but also ok), we do not allow them in the hotel. HOWEVER, we do have a resident fat cat who hangs out on the balcony and is super friendly which you can play with. If he likes you enough, maybe he comes with you to your room, but he usually he don’t swing that way but hey, you can try.

  • Aircon in Amsterdam? Not really needed unless this global warming sh*t gets worse and you believe in it (which we do), but there is a ceiling fan and we can provide you a table fan if needed and while supplies last. Heaters… of course, we aren’t savages.

  • Bomb-Diggity Secret Garden. Life size chess, great sunshine (when it decides to show up), Pétanque, and just all around chill and fun. Great for evening beers and or breakfast. Open until 10pm every evening.

  • All rooms have Euro plugs and most have USB plugs. Wi-Fi like a mofo. Gaming. Private bathrooms. 2 kinds of comfy a*s pillows which you can choose from. Colour changing lights everywhere. Gaming in your room and public spaces. Food & Beverages. What else do you need?

  • I don’t know, can you ride a bike? If the answer is yes, then our answer is yes. If the answer is no, then no, we do not have a bike for you. I sooooo don’t want to deal with packing up your bags and dropping them off at the hospital bc you decided to feel invincible.

  • Unfortunately the hotel entrance door, the lift, corridors and hotel room doors are not wide enough for a wheelchair.

    Also we don’t have bathrooms with disabled facilities.

    If the person in the wheelchair cannot walk at all, we do not recommend staying in the Arcade.

    This to avoid disappointment upon arrival.

    Otherwise, and if the chair is foldable, it should not be a problem.
